The HCC240 and HCC242 are opticallycoupled isolators, consisting of a galliumaluminum arsenide LED and a siliconphototransistor mounted and coupled ina miniature surface mount hermeticleadless chip carrier. The HCC240 andHCC242 are identical except for the DCcurrent transfer ratio. Electricalparameters are similar to the JEDECregistered 4N22A and 4N24A. Thesesolid state couplers are ideal for designswhere board space and device weightare important design considerations.Typical screening and lot acceptancetests are provided on page 13-4. Theburn-in condition is VCE = 9 V, PD = 275mW, IF = 20-50 mA (adjusted to achievePD). No HTRB is performed on thisdevice.
