This article presents a design example for interfacinga Micron 8Mb boot block flash device with a Motorola16-bit MCU. In this exercise, a Motorola M68HC16Z1MCU is used with a MT28F800B5xx-10B flash device.While the basic signal interconnect is shown, someoptions remain for the designer to complete based uponsystem resource requirements.
