A very powerful method for speech analysis is based on linear predictive coding
(LPC), also known as LPC analysis or auto-regressive (AR) modeling. Linear
prediction analysis takes a crucial role in speech processing algorithms. The predictor
coefficients (the) are determined (computed) by minimizing the sum of squared
differences (over the finite interval) between the actual speech samples and the
linearly predicted ones.
