为弥补传统扫描驱动方式所引起的主观视觉亮度下降的缺陷,几乎所有高端室外LED显示屏均采用了静态锁存的驱动方法,但这又使驱动电路的规模大大增加。为了解决此问题,文章从“塔尔博特-普拉窦定律”着手,将光学双稳态特性引入LED显示单元,通过提高一个扫描周期内LED显示单元的占空比提高LED显示屏的亮度,研制出了一种双行双稳态LED显示屏。通过实际测试,证明该显示屏在扫描驱动方式下具有等同于静态锁存驱动的LED屏的亮度表现,并大大提高了LED的使用寿命,而且其结构简单,外围电路与传统器件完全兼容,易于使用和推广。Abstract: The traditional way of scanning drive mode will cause the subjective brightness sensation decline. To make up this disadvantage, almost all high ̄end outdoor LED displays are driven by the static latch method, but this method greatly increased the size of drive circuit. According to “The Talbot’Plateau Law”, this paper brought optical bistable characteristic to LED display unit, which increased the brightness of LED display by improving the duty cycle of the LED display unit in a scanning cycle. A bistable LED display composed by bistable LED modules was developed. The results demonstrate that the bistable LED display’s brightness in scanning drive mode has the same performnce as the static latch’driven LED display, and greatly increases the life of LED. It’s structure is simple, and the external circuit is fully compatible with conventional devices, so it is easy to use and promote.
