The RT8012A is a dual PWM, current mode, stepdownconverter. Its input voltage range is from 2.6V to 5.5V andhas a constant 1.2MHz switching frequency, allowing theuse of tiny, low cost capacitors and inductors 2mm orless in height. Each output voltage is adjustable from 0.8Vto 5V. Internal power switches with low on-resistance ofthe dual step-down regulators increase efficiency andeliminate the need for external Schottky diodes. TheRT8012A can run at 100% duty cycle for low dropoutoperation that extends battery life in portable systems.With independent Enable and Power-Good pins, it is easyto control the power up sequence of the two converters,which is important in some applications.
