Low  Noise,  Low  Power  I2C®  Bus,  128  TapsThe  ISL22346WMVEP  integrates  four  digitally  controlledpotentiometers  (DCP)  and  non-volatile  memory  on  amonolithic  CMOS  integrated  circuit.The  digitally  controlled  potentiometers  are  implemented  witha  combination  of  resistor  elements  and  CMOS  switches.  Theposition  of  the  wipers  are  controlled  by  the  user  through  theI2C  bus  interface.  Each  potentiometer  has  an  associatedvolatile  Wiper  Register  (WR)  and  a  non-volatile  Initial  valueRegister  (IVR)  that  can  be  directly  written  to  and  read  by  theuser.  The  contents  of  the  WR  controls  the  position  of  thewiper.  At  power-up,  the  device  recalls  the  contents  of  the  twoDCP’s  IVR  to  the  corresponding  WRs.The  DCPs  can  be  used  as  a  three-terminal  potentiometersor  as  a  two-terminal  variable  resistors  in  a  wide  variety  ofapplications  including  control,  parameter  adjustments  andsignal  processing.Device  InformationThe  specifications  for  an  Enhanced  Product  (EP)  device  aredefined  in  a  Vendor  Item  Drawing  (VID),  which  is  controlledby  the  Defense  Supply  Center  in  Columbus  (DSCC).“Hot-links”  to  the  applicable  VID  and  other  supportingapplication  information  are  provided  on  our  website.
