OB6561 is a cost effective high performancetransition-mode (TM) power-factor correction (PFC)controller IC optimized for pre-regulatorapplications.OB6561 integrates an internal start-up timer, asimple multiplier for generating a current referencein sync with input voltage, a zero current detector(ZCD) to ensure transition mode operation and acurrent sensing comparator with built-in leadingedgeblanking.With ZCD Control, power MOSFET is alwaysturned on with zero inductor current. Consequently,transition mode (TM) control achieves lowerswitching loss and reduced noise.
