The RT9202 is a single power supply PWM DC-DCconverter controller designed to drive N-MOSFET in asynchronous buck topology. The IC integrates the control,output adjustment, monitoring and protection functions ina small 8-pin package.The RT9202 uses a low gain voltage mode PWM controlfor simple application design. An internal 0.8V referenceallows the output voltage to be precisely regulated tolow voltage requirement. A fixed 300kHz oscillatorreduces the component size for saving board space.The RT9202 features over current protection, overvoltage protection, and under voltage lock-out. The outputcurrent is monitored by sensing the voltage drop acrossthe MOSFET's RDS(ON), which eliminates the need for acurrent sensing resistor.
