The AT9173 is a voltage regulator which couldconvert the input voltage ranging from 1.8V to 5V to anoutput voltage that user settled. The regulator canprovide sourcing or sinking current.The AT9173, usedin conjunction with series termination resistors,provides an excellent voltage source for activetermination schemes of high speed transmission linesas those seen in high speed memory buses anddistributed backplane designs.The voltage output of the regulator can be used as atermination voltage for DDR SDRAM.Current limits in both sourcing and sinking mode, pluson-chip thermal shutdown make the circuit tolerant ofthe output fault conditions.
