The  LM25575  is  an  easy  to  use  SIMPLE  SWITCHER®  buckregulator  which  allows  design  engineers  to  design  and  optimizea  robust  power  supply  using  a  minimum  set  of  components.Operating  with  an  input  voltage  range  of  6  -  42V,  theLM25575  delivers  1.5A  of  continuous  output  current  with  anintegrated  330mΩ  N-Channel  MOSFET.  The  regulator  utilizesan  Emulated  Current  Mode  architecture  which  providesinherent  line  regulation,  tight  load  transient  response,  andease  of  loop  compensation  without  the  usual  limitation  of  lowdutycycles  associated  with  current  mode  regulators.  Theoperating  frequency  is  adjustable  from  50kHz  to  1MHz  to  allowoptimization  of  size  and  efficiency.  To  reduce  EMI,  afrequency  synchronization  pin  allows  multiple  IC’s  from  theLM(2)557x  family  to  self-synchronize  or  to  synchronize  to  anexternal  clock.  The  LM25575  guarantees  robustness  with  cycle-by-cycle  current  limit,  short-circuit  protection,  thermalshut-down,  and  remote  shut-down.  The  device  is  available  ina  power  enhanced  TSSOP-16  package  featuring  an  exposeddie  attach  pad  for  thermal  dissipation.  The  LM25575  is  supportedby  the  full  suite  of  WEBENCH®  On-Line  design  tools.
