The monolithic integrated circuit OPA660 uses the Diamondstructure to act as an ideal transistor. However, thiscircuit has the advantage that it avoids the biasing circuitsand eliminates the need for an offset voltage compensationnetwork. With this element, peripheral components are reducedto the essential minimum. Using the DC-coupledwideband voltage amplifier and buffer, conventional andnew circuit designs of the OPA660 can be compared witheach other.
