IEC60730 Class B

IEC60730-1  applies  to  automatic  electrical  controls  in  association  with  equipmentfor  household  and  similar  use.  This  includes  controls  for  heating,  air-conditioningand  similar  applications  using  electricity,  gas,  oil,  solid  fuel,  solar  energy  etc.including  combinations  of  it.Controls  shall  be  designed  and  constructed  that  in  normal  use  they  function  soas  not  to  cause  injury  to  persons  or  damage  to  surrounding  property,  even  in  theevent  of  such  carelessness  as  may  occur  in  normal  use.More  specifically  the  standard  applies  to  automatic  electrical  controls,mechanically  or  electrically  operated,  responsive  to  or  controlling  suchcharacteristics  as  temperature,  pressure,  passage  of  time,  humidity,  light,electrostatic  effects,  flow,  or  liquid  level,  current,  voltage,  acceleration,  or  acombinations  of  these.
