The RT9711 is a low voltage, single N-MOSFET high-sidepower switch, optimized for self-powered and bus- poweredUniversal Serial Bus (USB) applications. The RT9711equipped with a charge pump circuitry to drive the internalMOSFET switch; the switch's low RDS(ON), 80mΩ, meetsUSB voltage drop requirements; and a flag output isavailable to indicate fault conditions to the local USBcontroller.Additional features include soft-start to limit inrush currentduring plug-in, thermal shutdown to prevent catastrophicswitch failure from high-current loads, under-voltagelockout (UVLO) to ensure that the device remains offunless there is a valid input voltage present.
