SS490  Series  MRL  (Miniature  RatiometricLinear)  sensors  have  a  ratiometric  outputvoltage,  set  by  the  supply  voltage.  It  variesin  proportion  to  the  strength  of  themagnetic  field.A  new  Hall  effect  integrated  circuit  chipprovides  increased  temperature  stabilityand  sensitivity.  Laser  trimmed  thin  filmresistors  on  the  chip  provide  high  accuracy(null  to  ±3%,  sensitivity  up  to  ±3%)and  temperature  compensation  to  reducenull  and  gain  shift  over  temperature.The  quad  Hall  sensing  element  minimizesthe  effects  of  mechanical  or  thermalstress  on  the  output.  The  positive  temperaturecoefficient  of  the  sensitivity(+0.02%/°C  typical)  helps  compensatefor  the  negative  temperature  coefficientsof  low  cost  magnets,  providing  a  robustdesign  over  a  wide  temperature  range.
