The  RT9016  is  designed  for  portable  RF  and  wirelessapplications  with  demanding  performance  and  spacerequirements.  The  RT9016  performance  is  optimized  forbattery-powered  systems  to  deliver  ultra  low  noise  andlow  quiescent  current.  A  noise  bypass  pin  is  available  forfurther  reduction  of  output  noise.  Regulator  ground  currentincreases  only  slightly  in  dropout,  further  prolonging  thebattery  life.  The  RT9016  also  works  with  low-ESR  ceramiccapacitors,  reducing  the  amount  of  board  space  necessaryfor  power  applications,  critical  in  hand-held  wirelessdevices.  The  RT9016  consumes  less  than  0.01μA  inshutdown  mode  and  has  fast  turn-on  time  less  than  50μs.RT9016  is  short  circuit  thermal  folded  back  protected.RT9016  lowers  its  OTP  trip  point  from  165°C  to  110°Cwhen  output  short  circuit  occurs  (VOUT  <  0.4V)  providingmaximum  safety  to  end  users.  The  other  features  includeultra  low  dropout  voltage,  high  output  accuracy,  currentlimiting  protection,  and  high  ripple  rejection  ratio.  Availablein  the  SOT-23-5  and  WDFN-6L  2x2  packages.
