The  X9241  has  a  variety  of  different  instructions  thatprovide  flexibility  to  the  designer.  Additionally,  thenonvolatile  nature  of  the  device  allows  for  stored  wiperpositions  that  can  be  retrieved  after  power  cycles.  Thefollowing  code  implements  all  of  the  available  X9241instructions  using  a  standard  bi-directional  bus  protocol.Although  the  routines  occupy  less  than  300  bytes  ofprogram  memory,  designers  who  won't  need  to  implementall  of  the  X9241  instructions  can  shorten  the  codeby  removing  any  unnecessary  routines.  However,  thiswill  necessitate  the  reassembly  of  the  code.
