The  RT9017  is  designed  for  portable  RF  and  wirelessapplications  with  demanding  performance  and  spacerequirements.  The  RT9017  performance  is  optimized  forbattery-powered  systems  to  deliver  ultra  low  noise  andlow  quiescent  current.  Regulator  ground  current  increasesonly  slightly  in  dropout,  further  prolonging  the  battery  life.The  RT9017  also  works  with  low-ESR  ceramic  capacitors,reducing  the  amount  of  board  space  necessary  for  powerapplications,  critical  in  hand-held  wireless  devices.  TheRT9017  consumes  less  than  0.01μA  in  shutdown  modeand  has  fast  turn-on  time  less  than  50μs.  RT9017  is  shortcircuit  thermal  folded  back  protected.  RT9017  lowers  itsOTP  trip  point  from  165°C  to  110°C  when  output  shortcircuit  occurs  (VOUT  <  0.4V)  providing  maximum  safety  toend  users.  The  other  features  include  ultra  low  dropoutvoltage,  high  output  accuracy,  current  limiting  protection,and  high  ripple  rejection  ratio.  Available  in  the  SOT-23-3,SOT-23-5  and  WDFN-6L  2x2  packages,  the  RT9017  alsooffers  a  range  of  1.5V  to  3.5V  with  0.1V  per  step.
