The  Intersil  ISL54205B  dual  SPDT  (Single  Pole/Double  Throw)  switches  combine  low  distortion  audio  and  accurateUSB  2.0  high  speed  data  (480Mbps)  signal  switching  in  thesame  low  voltage  device.  When  operated  with  a  2.7V  to  3.6Vsingle  supply  these  analog  switches  allow  audio  signal  swingsbelow-ground,  allowing  the  use  of  a  common  USB  and  audioheadphone  connector  in  Personal  Media  Players  and  otherportable  battery  powered  devices.The  ISL54205B  incorporates  circuitry  for  detection  of  the  USBVBUS  voltage,  which  is  used  to  switch  between  the  audio  andUSB  signal  sources  in  the  portable  device.  The  part  has  acontrol  pin  to  open  all  the  switches  and  put  the  part  in  a  lowpower  down  state.The  ISL54205B  is  available  in  a  small  10  Ld  2.1mmx1.6mmultra-thin  μTQFN  package  and  a  10Ld  3mmx3mm  TDFNpackage.  It  operates  over  a  temperature  range  of  -40  to  +85°C.
