This application note describes the hardware and firmware methods used in Teridian single- and polyphase residential energy-metering SoCs that cope with sag and power-failure events. The sample code discussed in this application note was written for the 71M6531 demo code, but similar principles may be used with other Teridian energy-metering ICs.
