The  SAA7115  provides  the  front-end  digitization  andprocessing  of  analog  video  inputs  for  next-generationset-top  boxes,  digital  televisions,  video  projectors,personal  video,  and  DVD  recorders.A  single-chip  9-bitvideo  decoder  with  2x-oversampling,  the  SAA7115provides  video  capture  for  a  range  of  applicationsincluding  advanced  large-screen  devices  such  as  LCDprojectors  and  HDTVs.  Decoding  NTSC,  PAL  andSECAM  signals  using  fully  automatic  standarddetection,  the  SAA7115  also  includes  a  pixel  accurateH/V  scaler,  a  frame  accurate  audio  clock  and  anoptional  square  pixel  output  rate.Designed  with  service  providers  in  mind  the  SAA7115complies  with  Macrovision’s  Copy  Protection  DetectSpecification  Revision  1.00  and  is  also  well  suited  forvideo  surveillance  systems  requiring  ultra-fast  frameswitching.  In  addition,  it  is  fully  pin-to-pin  compatiblewith  Philips’  highly  successful  SAA7114  Video  Decoder,making  it  the  ideal  solution  for  a  multitude  ofapplications.
