Infineon’s  BFP540  is  a  high  performance,  lowcost  silicon  bipolar  transistor  housed  in  a  4-leadultra-miniature  SOT  343  surface  mountpackage.  This  device  is  designed  forapplications  requiring  high  performance  suchLNAs,  VCOs,  portable  Telephones,  spreadspectrum  transceivers  and  other  low  noiseapplications.  Applying  Infineon’s  BFP540,  lownoise,  high  gain,  high  linearity  at  low  powerconsumption  are  possible.This  application  note  describes  an  low  noise,high  gain,  low  component  count  LNA  for  1900MHz,  and  it  also  provides  general  guidelines  forimproving  3rd  order  intercept  performance  forInfineon  grounded  emitter  transistors.
